Welcome To The Blog

WELCOME to my blog. I am a Filipino-American writer who lives in Maspeth, New York in the borough of Queens. In this blog, I want to share how it is to live and raise a family in the great city of New York from the point of view of a Filipino-American.

  1. Hi Mon, This is a great site that I always visit whenever I have the time. I enjoy reading your stories. The places that were mentioned, which I have read in pocket books I thought were just invented by the wandering minds of the writer. Way back during high school days in our Literature class, the plants that you mentioned were encountered in the stories. I could not forget when Ms. Mojado was asking the class what is a sycamore and I was the one who answered her, a tree. It was a class assignment that we were asked to read. I did not read the story but I was able to ask my ate what is a sycamore. I did not pay attention to those Literary pieces, much more I barely read the books nor studied any of the subjects.
It is enriching to read your articles. I didn’t know that you received an award for being a writer. From what I heard, you took up B.S. Biology.
    Congratulations!

  2. Great blog!

It is so refreshing to read well-written pieces such as these, instead of the usual slop found in the throwaway freebie Filipino newspapers found at places like Krystal's.

I'm a Filipino-American raising a newborn son in Woodside, and I look forward to reading about your experiences...

  3. It is enlightening to read how it is to live in America from the point of view of a genuine writer.

I also enjoyed the Western Literature particularly the Trojan War. Remember Ms. Ceres Maranan? Need to catch up with my reading. I saw you have lots of new stories.
